Rotary The Entrance is committed during 2022-23 to supporting the HoTS Team, which stands for Health on The Streets. An initiative of Coast and Country Primary Care, a small team of people including a nurse and an occupational therapist travel within the homeless community in a repurposed ambulance, giving people the oppotunity for health checks, and suggesting available services which might make their lives better.
Rotary has been providing “Bags of Kindness” which contain nutritious food which is easy to handle so that the team have something to offer. We have also supplied some shelterbags for people to sleep in if they have nowhere to go, and other support for the team and their patients.
We have recently donated an ECG machine to improve the services HoTS can deliver.
