Club News

Combined Community Raffle

Over $34 000 was raised this year by the participating clubs and organisations in this very popular annual event.  It is always well received by the participating bodies, especially in view of the fact that they don't have to worry about providing a prize, nor have the tickets printed.

Of the money each group raises, 100% is returned to them.  Since its inception, approximately $400 000 has been raised by and for local clubs and organisations.

New Members

Two new Rotarians have been inducted into the club recently.  We are pleased to have Torben Nielsen (Hardware Distribution), and Chris Wyatt (Pharmaceutical Retailing) join our ranks.

Volunteers Small Equipment Grant

We were pleased to receive funds from the Commonwealth Government recently to enable us to purchase a trailer, barbecues, tables, coolers and a tent.  These will enable us to comply with local regulations relating to the provision of food and drinks at community functions, and more easily raise funds for the benefit of local groups and organisations.
